Macerated Tamarillos

In syrup


6-8 tamarillos, peeled and quartered length wise 1/2 cup brown sugar

Place the tamarillos and sugar in a bowl.  Leave overnight or at lest a couple of hours at room temperature and the juices from the tamarillo will blend with the sugar.  Serve as a desert with ice-cream, yoghurt or custard or eat for breakfast with your cereal.
