Tamarillo Splits


6-8 tamarillos, peeled with stalks attached 1/2 cup castor sugar 1/2 tsp Chinese Five Spice 1/2 cup water or apple juice

Place the whole peeled tamarillos, sugar, Chinese Five Spice and water in a microwave proof bowl.  Cover and cook on high for 4-5 minutes.  Cut each tamarillo in quarters, leaving them joined at the stem end. Makes an easy sumptuous dessert – or sprinkle with muesli for a stunning breakfast.
